FAQ’s

(FAQs) You may find some answers here ...

Yes, as many pictures as you feel will help and that capture the essence or spirit of what we are trying to capture. For me there is never such a thing as to much information as I like to collect as much as I can to make your art so incredibly you!

This will depend on my schedule as well as the style and size of the piece. Normally 6-8 weeks is sufficient, although at Christmas it does get very busy so be sure to allow as much time as possible

Prices will vary with size and style. Generally, unless their is a lot more involved in the painting than normal, I do not charge extra for commissioned pieces. I like your art to be something that is special for a lifetime and possibly passed on from generation to generation.

The process is as follows … a 25% deposit is taken to book a block of time in my schedule and to cover the initial costs of the canvas and materials etc. Your responsibility is to supply me with as much information and pictures as possible, we will also discuss this personally and then you can just relax!

Once I have your work of art completed to a point where I feel comfortable to show you, usually at about 95% I will send images and make sure you are totally happy with what we have achieved in collaboration together, if anything needs to be added or subtracted now is the time. Then its time to varnish once you are in love! Balance is paid upon completion before the artwork leaves the studio.

Please note the copyright of any commission still belongs 100% to me and cannot be reproduced by you or anyone else in any form or fashion. It is for personal use only. However I am happy to organise reproductions for you for your family and friends.

A really good question! Firstly ask yourself what would you like in your painting, what is important to you? whether it be just you or your family or friends as well, heirlooms, pets, favourite jewellery, clothing, shoes etc. If you were looking at something in the ‘Women with Attitude’ series, maybe something you always say that is so typically you!

Then ask what style and possibly colours do you like? If that is important.

Next what sort of size and shape would suit your space or are you flexible?

I am always happy to chat and help you come up with ideas as to what might make a wonderful personalised painting. There is a gallery of some of my clients previously commissioned works that may inspire ideas as well. View Commissions Gallery.

If there is a piece of my art that you fall in love with … talk to me as I can recreate something similar but personalise it to you, it then tells your story and makes it extra special!

Artworks can also be created to suit your size and colour requirements.

If you need ideas and help as to what would suit your home or designated area best, send me pictures of your available space and the works you like, and I can digitally place them on your wall to help you visualise how your art will look.

All artwork is to be paid for before dispatch. Orders on commissions as stated are a 25% deposit, orders on Limited Editions are a 50% deposit. You can bank transfer, credit card or PayPal, whichever suits you best. Payment plans and Laybys are also available.

Whilst it is said ‘imitation is the sincerest form of flattery’, Please DO NOT copy my artwork for any reason whatsoever without my permission!

I have worked really hard to create my own style and like any artist I have had to struggle and experiment to achieve my own uniqueness, spending countless hundreds of thousands of unpaid hours and frustration. Hence I believe I deserve to eat the fruit of my labour not anyone else. So my advice to others is that it far more fulfilling and truthful when you achieve that for yourself rather than stealing someone else’s intellectual and creative property . Thank you 🙂

Please always credit myself Natalie Dyer as the Artist and if you would be so kind as to include the following link to my website www.nataliedyer.com when sharing any of my artwork on social media. Within Australia there are a few flat fees depending upon the product, these will display at the cart. Art is shipped through various couriers or Australia post.

Internationally it is always recommended that all Original and Limited Edition artwork be sent rolled and tubed, not only for cost efficiency but for protection of the artwork. Customs duties and fees peculiar to your country are to be paid by yourself (the client) upon collection.

Utmost care is always taken in packaging however it is always recommended paying a little extra for insurance if it is offered.

I use the best couriers available and work hard to package it as safely as possible. Occasionally, and that is very occasionally stuff happens 🙁

While I can’t take any responsibility for your art once it has left my studio I will always help as much as possible within reason to find and create a good outcome for you. Any work going via courier cannot be delivered to a PO Box.

Most artworks are sent but should you be within proximity to pick ups can occasionally be negotiated.

If for some reason there was a need to exchange a product, ie a change of mind or more as a result of something your end, so long as the product is returned in 100% original condition it can be exchanged, however new delivery costs would be your responsibility. If the reason for exchange is our responsibility, of course we would do our utmost to rectify any problem and ensure you are totally happy.
