How Custom Painting Commissions Work
Commissioning custom painting commissions on the Sunshine Coast is a simple, collaborative process. As a Sunshine Coast artist, I work with you to create meaningful, personal artwork for your home, or as a special gift.
Step 1: Share Your Vision
First send me your ideas, photos, inspirations or any relevant information that adds to your story. Next we will discuss size, style and what it might take to make this a special piece for you. Also view past works in my gallery to see what’s possible, and that is pretty much anything.
Step 2: It's Happening
Once I have enough information to start your creation, I take a 50% deposit to order canvas and materials. Rest assured, you will be 100% happy before finalisation. Then I will start painting.
When your painting reaches a stage I am confident it will give you a clear picture of what you will receive. I will send a progress image ensuring I have captured everything, and hopefully more than what was expected.
This is where any final changes and amendments happen. Once you are 100% happy and final approval given. I will varnish your painting with archival clear oil-based gloss for protection.
Step 3: Nearly There
Next I photograph, sign and date your painting. Should you like reproductions of your commissioned custom painting for family, friends or yourself, I will organise. That involves professional scanning for the extra reproductions. Framing if required. All organised on your behalf at an honest and fair price.
Step 4: Delivery
I deliver local Sunshine Coast paintings free of charge. For Australia-wide or world-wide shipping, your artwork will be professionally packed. It will then be sent via courier at a fair and reasonable price.
NB: For overseas, Artworks are usually sent rolled and tubed. Insurance required to the level of your choice. Delivery cost varies by country.
Step 5: Finito - Your Painting is Ready
Get excited! Finally you pay the balance of funds for artwork, and shipping costs. Then your commissioned custom painting leaves the studio for its new home.
