All in Line
Ingrid got in touch a little distressed. She had bought a new headboard for her bedroom without quite realising its height, which meant an earlier painting of mine that she owned, Pearls for a Princess, no longer fitted the space above it.
She explained how she needed her bedroom to feel, peace and tranquility, and how much the right colours matter to her. Ingrid has been a client for a long time now, so I have come to know her personality and her style and what she loves in her life, and she gave me free licence with this.
I wanted to create something she would walk into the room and instantly smile at, something she felt completely a part of. So her grandchildren are in it, above the headboard, and Lexi, her most loved to death dog.
I know how much art means to Ingrid in her home. It is always special to me to know that it inspires her, and gives her energy and peace.
