All Clean

This was a tricky one to design. The client had a sense of the sort of image he wanted, but that was all.

So I went and looked at the space. It was a very tall wall at the top of the stairs, opening and angling into a couple of other rooms, with a great deal of glass and lovely light. The painting had to flow seamlessly in colour with the large works already in those other rooms, and still be authentic to its own subject.

It looked fabulous in the space. I get great joy from working through challenges like that, and from bringing other people’s images and concepts into being.

This client is a collector of my work, and has commissioned a number of pieces over the years.
